In the world of smartphones, screen light sensitivity issues can be quite bothersome for users. Recently, some customers have reported that after using the JCID (Diagnosable LCD) tool to diagnose their screens, the automatic light sensing function on their iPhone 13/13 Mini and iPhone 14/14 Plus devices is not working properly. To address this issue, we provide the following detailed repair guide.
The solution for the iPhone 13/13 Mini is relatively simple (you can refer to the video for guidance https://www.linkedin.com/feed/update/urn:li:activity:7348928375240998912/ ), while the iPhone 14/14 Plus requires a more complex process. Here, we provide a detailed repair guide for the iPhone 14/14 Plus for your reference.

(Do not modify the second and fourth lines).

Step8:

> Finished and shows ‘Used’.

Step12:
> Installed the ambient light sensor flex cable.
> Restart the phone and then the light sensor works.

By following the steps above, you can effectively fix the light sensitivity issues on the iPhone 14/14 Plus after JCID diagnosis. For the iPhone 13/13 Mini, the key step is to write the Display IC True Tone Code; for the iPhone 14/14 Plus, the key steps are to write the Original Touch IC MtSN first and then run the JCID diagnosis. Ensure the correct order of operations and accurate data entry to effectively restore the light sensing function of your device.
We hope these methods can help you resolve the light sensitivity issues and restore your device to optimal performance.
