iOS 15 has landed, and unsurprisingly, this update is chockfull of features that make life easier for us in newfound ways.
For example, if we have the Apple Watch and an iPhone, we can now unlock our iPhone with the Apple Watch! This is true only
for Face ID-equipped iPhones only, though.
Why did Apple bring this particular feature only to Face ID-equipped iPhone models? This was a direct response by Apple to the
global coronavirus pandemic wherein people with Face ID-equipped phones found themselves unable to unlock their phones
due to the face masks.
But Apple has identified an issue where Unlock with Apple Watch may not work with iPhone 13 devices after the iOS 15 update.
You might see “Unable to Communicate with Apple Watch” if you try to unlock your iPhone while wearing a face mask, or you might
not be able to set up Unlock with Apple Watch.
Apple has warned owners of its new iPhone 13 model that they might not be able unlock their phone with an Apple Watch due to
this software glitch.
If everything seems to be in order and you are still unable to unlock iPhone with Apple Watch after the iOS 15 update, there are a
few steps you can take.
1. Restart the iPhone and key in your passcode when it boots up.
2. Restart the Apple Watch similarly.
3. Ensure that Unlock With Apple Watch is activated!
This method can temporarily solve the problem, but it may happen again in the future.
Good news is that Apple officially acknowledges this bug and confirms that a fix for the Unable to Communicate with Apple Watch
error will be included in an upcoming software update! We will update you as soon as it becomes available.
Another problem is iPhone 13 Not Detecting SIM Card after the iOS 15 update.
Usually we will do the following operations to fix:
1. Turn On (and Off) Airplane Mode;
2. Remove and Reinsert SIM Card and Tray;
3. Restart Your iPhone;
4. Reset Your Network Settings.
But it is not work for iOS 15 user, the current way to solve this problem briefly is to restart the phone, but the problem will still recur.
What we can do is wait for software update that can resolve the problem. Bookmark and follow us on social media.
