Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra – Everything You Want to See

The Samsung Galaxy S23 — one of 2023’s the most anticipated smartphone— is still hasn’t offic-
ially announced by Samsung. At present, there is a lot of information about the Samsung S23 Ultra
on the market, and it can even be said that it has been confirmed again, and some parameters have
become very clear.

While we wait for official confirmation and more details about the Galaxy S23, here’s a quick sum
-mary of everything we know so far.

Samsung Galaxy S23 latest news

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra could look nearly identical to the Galaxy S22 Ultra,
despite the major camera upgrade.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra has been tipped to get a 200MP camera once again. This could be a big upgrade.

The Galaxy S23 Ultra is tipped to get the same battery size as its predecessor — the S22 Ultra.

The Galaxy S23 has been tipped to ditch Samsung’s Exynos chip, in favor of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

The Galaxy S23 has been tipped to have a watermark when taking pictures.

Design

In terms of design, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra could look very similar to its predecessor. A rec-
ent tip from leaker Ice Universe has the smartphone set to measure 6.43 x 3.07 x 0.35 inches, which
is a minor increase over the 6.42 x 3.06 x 0.35 inches of the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Cameras

Despite the general lack of other information, the Galaxy S23’s cameras have made some waves.
Samsung announced a mobile camera sensor with the whopping 200MP resolution this year, but
it is yet to employ it in a retail device. We were certainly hoping that this ultra high-res sensor in
Samsung’s ISOCELL line will make its way into the Galaxy S23 Ultra.

Battery

Rumor has it that the S23 will feature the same 5,000mAh capacity battery that was featured in the
Galaxy S22 Ultra. The S22 Ultra had solid battery life and charge times but didn’t stand out among
the likes of OnePlus’s super fast charging speeds. That said, if the entire S23 line is equipped with
at least a 5,000mAh cell, we won’t be complaining.

Chipset

So far, we’ve heard many conflicting rumors about the Galaxy S23’s chipset. Qualcomm announced
an expanded partnership with Samsung. In a press release, the company confirmed the exclusive use
of Snapdragon chipset for the Galaxy S23 in 2023. This corroborates with the previous rumors that th
e premium smartphone lineup will solely rely on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

Function

Everyone should be familiar with the function of watermark, which generally refers to adding specific
text or patterns to the captured pictures or videos to prevent others from misappropriating them. Mobile
China learned that Samsung S23 Ultra can also carry watermarks when taking photos. Maybe the
watermark function supports custom modification of the device name.

Release date and price

Because there’s been no official word from Samsung about the S23, we don’t have a specific
release date for it. The Galaxy S22 launched in February 2022, the S21 launched in January 2021,
and the S20 launched in March 2020. Based on this, it’s a safe assumption to make that the S23 will
launch in the first few months of 2023, specifically in late January or February based on the past two
flagship releases.

Pricing is another detail that remains unknown. For context, the Galaxy S22 starts at $799, the S22+
starts at $999,and the S22 Ultra starts at $1,199. Samsung may keep those exact prices for the S23
series, but depending on market and economic conditions, we could also see a price hike of $50 or
$100 per model.

There’s a long time for Samsung to finalize Galaxy S23 details, so here’s what we’re hoping to see.
