Nowadays, the supply of LCD screens on the market is uneven, and it is easy to dazzle people. How to distinguish between original
and imitation and how to choose the most suitable LCD screen for your mobile phone is very important. Today, let’s take iPhone 11
as an example to give you a specific introduction.
At present, the supply of iPhone 11 LCD Screens in the market is mainly divided into three types: Original, OEM Refurbished
and High Copy.
First of all, let’s take a look at the characteristics of the original quality.
How to tell if it is the original screen?
We can distinguish from the backlight code: Original New LCDs are supplied by LG, Sharp and Toshiba, and the brand of LCD
must match that of the backlight. If the LCD and the backlight do not match, the screen’s touch function will cease to work
approximately two days after repair.
The code of the LCD can be found on the back of the backlight (see below).
1. LG Code: DTP & C3F
2. Sharp Code: DHK & C01
3. Toshiba Code: C11 & F7C
We can also tell from the QR code: The long code is Toshiba glass or Sharp glass, while the square is LG glass.
These two are simple ways to distinguish the original LCD from the appearance.
Secondly, it is OEM refurbished quality.
Refurbished is divided into three types: Replacing the cover, Replacing the touch screen, and Replacing the flex cable.
1. Replacing the front cover: Only changing the front cover and frame. Other parts are still original;
2. Replacing the touch screen, there are 3 different situations:
1) Replace the original touch, only the front cover and frame are imitated, the others are the original.
2) Change imitation touch screen: quality is divided into: with grid and with frosted surface.
3) Change the Polarizer Film: replace the original or 1:1 imitation polarizer film, it can go through the sunglasses and copy polarizer
film, of course failed.
3. Replacing the flex cable also have 3 different situations:
1). Original flex cable: original touch + original flex cable + imitation cover + imitation frame;
2). Imitation cable: imitation touch + imitation flex cable + imitation cover + imitation frame;
3). It can be matched according to customer’s quality requirements.
The third is high copy quality.
It mainly includes In-cell LCD and TFT LCD.
Incell Technology make the LCD combined with Digitizer. That help to keep the Digitizer more safer inside of LCM. If the cell-phone
glass been broken after dropping, the digitizer can still work well, and the Incell LCDs without Touch panel is thinner than LCDs with
another piece of Touch Panel, it will be good for iPhone’s structure.
TFT LCD occupies the market of low-end models with its low price, but it has the disadvantages of hot screen and high power
consumption.
Anyway,through the comparison of the above three sources, we recommend using high copy and refurbished quality. These two
sources are cheap in price, stable in function and strong in compatibility.
